Hi, I’m Micah!
I got into digital marketing 15 years ago and spent most of it doing a little of everything — SEO, web, paid, CRO, analytics, team building. The content work was never in my title, and it was always the part I ended up doing anyway. So I'm done splitting my attention.
What I do: I interview people and write. Founders, customers, engineers, clinicians — the ones who know the thing but don't have the time or distance to explain it well. I find the narrative, pressure-test it, and turn it into a voice a brand can keep using after I've handed it off.
What makes that content work is everything I learned on the technical side. I know how a page earns a ranking, how information architecture either helps or hides your best thinking, and how answer engines now decide what gets cited. At DoorDash I grew search demand 68% and AI search visibility 50% in six months. At Contec, Inc. I scaled organic sessions 11x. Same lesson both times: the content was the lever.
Currently focused on content strategy, editorial programs, and search visibility for B2B, SaaS, HR, healthcare, and higher ed — or anywhere the subject matter is complicated enough to be worth explaining well.
My Approach
I think in systems, not deliverables.
Content works when it's connected — one SME interview feeding an article, a product page, a sales asset, and a dozen social posts, all pointing back to an audience you own rather than a channel you rent.
I run that with real project management, pulling signal from sales calls, product, customer conversations, and existing content into structured briefs.
I came to content through SEO and web strategy, so I also care about the plumbing: information architecture, taxonomy, internal linking, schema, and content modeling. Most content discovery problems are structural problems. Fix the foundation and good writing finally gets to do its job.
Let’s talk!
A product nobody can explain simply. A blog gone quiet. Good writing nothing links to. That's my favorite kind of problem.
Tell me what's stuck. I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person for it.
